~Kem Negeri Kadet Pertahanan Awam 2008~

On the 12 - 15 May 2008, exam time you know, I don't care about the exam (do you believe? haha^^ actually we sat for our exam a week before others in the afternoon,although it's quiet tiring, but don't care, I just wanna go and play) and went for my Second state camp at the same place, yea, Pusat Kokurikulum Negeri Sarawak at Santubong.

Schools in Sarawak with Civil Defence Cadets had sent there team to take part in the camp. Of course, as one of the most early school to have this group in Sarawak, my school, SMKJA for sure took part in the camp.

The other schools sent around 20 plus cadets while my school and SMKMT sent around 30 plus cadets to participate in the camp.

In the afternoon, all the cadets from several schools in Sarawak arrived at the camp site. Some of the cadets arrived a day before (those form Sibu and Bintulu).

We were divided into 3 big groups.

• Kumpulan Helang
• Kumpulan Dolphin
• Kumpulan Singa

The first activity that were held during the first night was the ICE BREAKING.

The competition started on the second day:

• Kawad Kaki
• Menyelamat
• Melawan Kebakaran
• Rawatan Awal
• Sketsa Kebudayaan.

At night, Pertandingan Sketsa Kebudayaan.

I took part in that, for the first and last time.

Semalam di Kaki Gunung Santubong.Something like that, our Sketsa's title.

I don't care about my image (for acting a PAIKIA), just thinking of winning the competition.

And at last we got the second. Asajaya again got the first, because their acting were more crazy and funny.^^

The story's about a group of cadets went camping at the Kaki Gunung, and 3 of the cadets who were naughty(yea, I'm one of the naughty one, me, Adeline and Chiong Kee) got lost in the jungle and could not find there team members. They simply trow rubbish in the jungle, stole a sheep that had been hunted by a man(from the Iban ethnic i think). They search for their team members after they realise that they were lost but they failed to do so. Because of theire tiredness, they stay for a night at the jungle and continued their journey the next day. Then, they saved a woman who was washing her clothes and suddenly dropped into the river. And in the picture, I'm doing CPR to save the woman. The woman then brought us to her village and they meet the man whose sheep had been stolen by them. The man wanna killed them. At that time, the woman told the man about the incident they saved her. The man was that woman's father. To thanks them for saving his daughter's life, he invited them to join a thankyou party and they enjoyed themselves very much. Then, finally, they meet their team members who were busy searching for them and found the village.

During the Majlis makan malam, we poco-pocoing.
The Supervisors of JPA joined us, included Mejar Erwin and En. Apo.

We didn't went back empty. We did won some prises.

Second for the sketsa and third for the marching competition.

During the last they,some of them crying~some laughing.

6 of us from SMKJA were chosen to represent the state to the Nasional Camp at Negeri Sembilan.

And what did Kapten Khairul said?
*Kapten Khairul : Siapa tak tau nama Pengarah PA tak perlu ikut kem kebangsaan!!!
Luckily I know.. Haha^^

My 1st Nasional Camp at Perlis

On the 9-15 of Julai, I went to Perlis, representing the state to the nasional camp for the first time.
Our state sent around 33 cadets where I'm one of the lucky one to the one week camp at Perlis.
The flight Ticket, of course, FREE!
We arrive at the camp site a day before and almost all the contingents had already arrived.
As early as 3 in the morning, we had to wake up to prepare because we have to reach school before 4. The Civil Defence Department sent a PA truck to fetch us from school.
Around 4 o'clock in the early morning, after everyone had arrived at school, we started our journey, from our school to the airport.
After we checked-in at the counter, we went into the aeroplane and here we goes, start sleeping.
After reaching KLIA, we waited for some times for the PA bus to come and fetch us. And the teacher of Muara Tuang doesn't allow us to walk around, not even to the toilet without the teacher. So, we sat down and wait, took photos.

After the bus came, we went into the bus and start our journey from KL to Perlis. It's really a long journey which took up several hours. Again, we continued our business--- SLEEP!!!
Everyone SLEPT in the bus, include the teachers and our coach, supervisor. SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP! And when the bus stopped at a station, we went for lunch... EAT EAT EAT, then continue on SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP.
And after around 8 hours journey, we finally reached Kem Tasoh, Perlis.
We settled down and built up our camp, and get ready for the rehearsal for the second day's Majlis Perasmian.


Should I say we are too lucky or what, we were the 1st to start the marching competition. Nasiblah! Everyone were so nervous.include our supervisor? Maybe!

At the Majlis Penutupan~~
Again my face looks like SHIT!

After the Majlis Penutupan, we headed to Negeri Sembilan to stay for a night. Again, in the bus, everyone sleep~Sleep~wake up, eat, and sleep again.

And we reached Negeri Sembilan at around 11 something at night.
The next day around 5 something, we woke up and prepare to go to the airport.

My 1st state camp.

My 1st state camp.
After being informed about the camp a few days ago, and without much time for us to prepare, we, around 30 cadets went to the camp at Pusat Ko-kurikulum Negeri Sarawak at Santubong.

• PC Competition
  
• Pertandingan Penyelamat

Around 14 of us from SMKJA were chosen to represent the state to the Nasional Camp that would be held next week at Kem Tasoh, Perlis.
